Back in 2015 Microsoft announced they are going to close down Xbox Live Indie Games (XBLIG). They claim that their ID@Xbox (Independent Developers) program lets bedroom developers make games for the Xbox One, but according to this article it costs at least $4000 dollars per game on required insurance and ratings board payments.
It's a shame they're not continuing XBLIG, because there are some really good games on there. This is my personal "most original games of XBLIG" list::
- Solar (and it's sequel Solar 2)
- Hidden in Plain Sight (a local multiplayer game)
- Your Doodles Are Bugged
- Light's End
- Along Came A Spider
- Smooth Operators
And all these games are worth checking out too (in no particular order):
- Breath of Death VII (and it's sequel Ctulhu Saves the World)
- Final Rift
- Shoot 1UP
- Abduction Action!
- Zombie Estate
- NextWar: The Quest for Earth
- CarneyVale Showtime
You might have thought that writing about the most charming flash games would be a long, difficult task involving long hours hunting down elusive websites. Actually, it's dead easy, as all the most charming flash games are found in the same place...
Ferry Halim's website "Orisinal" is a collection of over 60 flash games that are all beautifully presented and charmingly whimsical. Great for amusing children and the young at heart!
